ABOUT

An IT engineer writing about AI at work.

This blog is a place for notes, tutorials, and half-formed thoughts on making AI actually useful in an IT and infrastructure context — mostly from the Azure side of the fence.

I've been working in IT infrastructure and operations for about ten years, and in Azure environments for most of that. The past two years have been about figuring out which parts of AI tooling are genuinely useful in this work, and which parts are impressive in demos and annoying in practice.

The honest answer is: both, often in the same tool. This blog is my attempt to document what I'm learning, mostly for my own reference, but also in case it's useful to someone else doing similar work.

What I write about

There are four types of posts here: essays (longer thinking pieces), notes (short observations, usually from a specific week), tutorials (step-by-step technical guides), and reviews (honest assessments of tools I've actually used for a while).
